Every Friday in September, head to the Posse Grounds Pavillion at Posse Grounds Park in West Sedona to listen to live music for free! In 2026, Red Dirt Concert Series celebrates its 10th year with a special festival on Saturday, September 5th.

The Sea Monks with Garrett James and the Wanderers

Garrett James and the Wanderers are a young Rock’ n Roll/Blues Rock band that blends the soulful tunes of classic Vinyl-Era blues with the raw energy of Cassette-Era rock ‘n’ roll. The band’s music is an influential combination of rock, bluesy licks, stirring riffs, and heart-inspiring lyrics that resonate with the dedicated passion of years gone by. The band’s sincere goal is to forge their creative mark and share the love of music with everyone, as well as help younger generations that follow.

The Sea Monks blend a wide range of musical influences, from western swing to punk rock, into their own brand of swampy-tonk country. Originally hailing from San Diego, CA, the band now lives in Nashville, TN, and plays an average of 100 gigs per year, and they have shared the stage with great artists such as Dale Watson, Jimmie Vaughan, The Beat Farmers, Kimmi Bitter and more.

Holly Kirsten ~ Musicmamaa has a unique voice that soothes the soul! She is a singer/songwriter/cover artist born and raised in Arizona. Salinas Road is an acoustic singer-songwriter duo from Julian, California, formed in 2023. Veteran musicians Paul Gabriel Cruz and Bill Jones unite rich vocal harmonies with soul-stirring acoustic guitar, crafting songs that feel both timeless and new. Rooted in original songwriting, Salinas Road delivers intimate, story-driven melodies that linger long after the final note. Drawing inspiration from Simon & Garfunkel, The Milk Carton Kids, David Rawlings & Gillian Welch, Townes Van Zandt, and Bruce Springsteen, their sound blends heartfelt storytelling with stripped-down Americana grit.

Playful Banter is an acoustic duo blending contemporary indie and folk with a little bit of everything in between. Featuring a mix of thoughtfully crafted original songs and fresh interpretations of familiar favorites, their performances are relaxed, heartfelt, and full of personality. With warm harmonies, skilled musicianship, and an easygoing stage presence, Playful Banter creates the perfect soundtrack for an afternoon of listening, singing along, and enjoying live music.

La La Bones is a creative bluegrass band featuring original compositions and high energy performances. Rooted in Durango, the band has played throughout Colorado at local venues, festivals, and private events. At first glance, La La Bones is reminiscent of a traditional bluegrass band, passing around breaks and harmonizing melodies. With a closer look, listeners can see how the band draws inspiration from a myriad of musical genres, ranging from punk, pop, to bluegrass. Listeners can also enjoy the songwriting and vocal skills of all band members, as each individual brings original music to the table. La La Bones recorded their first self-titled album in 2016, an 11-track record of originals. In 2023, the band recorded their second album, Bones Hit the Ground. La La Bones is Kyle Siesser on guitar, Tommy Frederico on banjo, Kathy Hilimire on fiddle, Jeff Hibshman on bass, and Scott Roberts on mandolin.

Flagship of Fools delivers an authentic Grateful Dead experience for fans of timeless jams and improvisational rock. Hailing from Northern Arizona, this talented tribute band faithfully recreates the music, spirit, and free-flowing energy of the Grateful Dead while paying homage to the Jerry Garcia Band and other classics from the Dead universe.Their extended grooves, inspired musicianship, and performances that embrace the spontaneous nature of every show and captures the magic that has kept Deadheads dancing for generations.

Nolan McKelvey with Spencer Vandevier

Spencer Vandevier has had music at the center of his life since an early age, evolving from childhood singalongs to a lifelong passion for performing, songwriting, and multi-instrumental musicianship. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Santa Fe University of Art and Design with a degree in Music Performance focused on electric and upright bass, Spencer is equally at home on bass, guitar, and vocals. Drawing from deeply personal experiences, his original songs blend introspective storytelling with a distinctive dark folk and world music influence, creating a sound that is haunting, atmospheric, and deeply personal. Based in Arizona, Spencer’s performances invite listeners into a reflective musical journey

Nolan McKelvey, for more than three decades, has been one of Arizona’s most respected Americana singer-songwriters, blending alt-country, bluegrass, classic country, and rock into a sound that’s distinctly his own. His latest album, How Small We Are, has earned critical acclaim and radio play across Europe and Australia, while his songwriting—often inspired by Arizona’s people and landscapes—has made him a favorite with audiences throughout the Southwest. Dubbed “Best Musician” and “Flagstaff’s Poet Laureate” by FlagLive, Nolan’s performances are known for being thoughtful, passionate, and thoroughly entertaining.

Swigfoot and The Skavelinas

Swigfoot Swigfoot is a Skajacent Punkish explosion coming straight out of Tucson, Arizona. Powered by blaring horns, catchy melodies, and endless energy, Swigfoot exists solely to start the party and refuse to let it end. Unlike the elusive Sasquatch, Swigfoot is spotted regularly sweating through local desert clubs or sharing the bill with the very bands whose posters once graced their bedroom walls. Their live show is equal parts tight musicianship, 90s dance party, crowd connection, and the firm belief that no one should leave without a new song stuck in their head. Comprised of eight members with over a century of collective experience, Swigfoot pulls inspiration from every corner of their record collections to forge their signature sound. Are they ska? Are they Punk? Do they even exist? Close your eyes, follow Swiggy, and find out for yourself!

The Skavelinas are a Northern Arizona skacore band blending upbeat ska rhythms with the energy of skate punk and hardcore. Their horn-driven sound combines fast tempos, infectious melodies, and a raw, high-octane performance style that keeps audiences moving from the first note to the last. Formed by vocalist Tyler Bowers and drummer Reggie Breen, the band has grown into a dynamic six-piece featuring bassist Mauro DePasquale, trumpeter Lil’ Mauro, saxophonists Dane Clifford and Jeremy “Pringles,” and trombonist Victor Mendoza, creating a powerful mix of tight grooves, driving rhythms, and joyful chaos.
