In 2026\, Red Dirt Concert Series celebrates its 10th year with a special festival on Saturday\, September 5th. \nFriday\, September 4th\, 5-8pm\nThe Sea Monks with Garrett James and the Wanderers\nGarrett James and the Wanderers are a young Rock’ n Roll/Blues Rock band that blends the soulful tunes of classic Vinyl-Era blues with the raw energy of Cassette-Era rock ‘n’ roll. The band’s music is an influential combination of rock\, bluesy licks\, stirring riffs\, and heart-inspiring lyrics that resonate with the dedicated passion of years gone by. The band’s sincere goal is to forge their creative mark and share the love of music with everyone\, as well as help younger generations that follow. \nThe Sea Monks blend a wide range of musical influences\, from western swing to punk rock\, into their own brand of swampy-tonk country. Originally hailing from San Diego\, CA\, the band now lives in Nashville\, TN\, and plays an average of 100 gigs per year\, and they have shared the stage with great artists such as Dale Watson\, Jimmie Vaughan\, The Beat Farmers\, Kimmi Bitter and more. \nSaturday\, September 5th\, 1-8pm\nRed Dirt Fest 10-Year Celebration!\nA full day of entertainment and community vibes! Enjoy 5 acts\, Mexican food from La Tapatia and wood-fired pizza from Inferno 51\, free raffle prizes and more. \nHolly Kirsten ~ Musicmamaa has a unique voice that soothes the soul! She is a singer/songwriter/cover artist born and raised in Arizona. She has a unique way of making covers her own and plays predominantly in Northern Arizona. She has a way with people and her audience that keeps them captivated. Don’t miss a chance to see her live! \nSalinas Road is an acoustic singer-songwriter duo from Julian\, California\, formed in 2023. Veteran musicians Paul Gabriel Cruz and Bill Jones unite rich vocal harmonies with soul-stirring acoustic guitar\, crafting songs that feel both timeless and new. Rooted in original songwriting\, Salinas Road delivers intimate\, story-driven melodies that linger long after the final note. Drawing inspiration from Simon & Garfunkel\, The Milk Carton Kids\, David Rawlings & Gillian Welch\, Townes Van Zandt\, and Bruce Springsteen\, their sound blends heartfelt storytelling with stripped-down Americana grit. \nPlayful Banter is an acoustic duo blending contemporary indie and folk with a little bit of everything in between. Featuring a mix of thoughtfully crafted original songs and fresh interpretations of familiar favorites\, their performances are relaxed\, heartfelt\, and full of personality. With warm harmonies\, skilled musicianship\, and an easygoing stage presence\, Playful Banter creates the perfect soundtrack for an afternoon of listening\, singing along\, and enjoying live music. \nLa La Bones is a creative bluegrass band featuring original compositions and high energy performances. Rooted in Durango\, the band has played throughout Colorado at local venues\, festivals\, and private events. At first glance\, La La Bones is reminiscent of a traditional bluegrass band\, passing around breaks and harmonizing melodies. With a closer look\, listeners can see how the band draws inspiration from a myriad of musical genres\, ranging from punk\, pop\, to bluegrass. Listeners can also enjoy the songwriting and vocal skills of all band members\, as each individual brings original music to the table. Hailing from Northern Arizona\, this talented tribute band faithfully recreates the music\, spirit\, and free-flowing energy of the Grateful Dead while paying homage to the Jerry Garcia Band and other classics from the Dead universe.Their extended grooves\, inspired musicianship\, and performances that embrace the spontaneous nature of every show and captures the magic that has kept Deadheads dancing for generations. \nFriday\, September 19th\nGriffin Gregory with opener Wild Mountain Mystics\nGriffin Gregory is made up of PK Gregory and Stephy Leigh Griffin\, both well-known singer/songwriters and long-time fixtures of the Northern Arizona music scene\, PK in Verde Valley and Steph in Prescott. Having had a mutual admiration of each other’s songwriting and musicianship for 12 years or so\, it was only a matter of time before they joined forces. While both artists would probably be filed under “Americana” down at the local record store\, their stylistic similarities are rivaled only by their differences\, resulting in a sonic style that is less Simon and Garfunkel and more a kind of country-blues White Stripes\, bringing elements of spaghetti folk\, jazz swing\, and fingerstyle blues together with a honky-stomp aesthetic that will burn your barn down with a smile on it’s face\, and then rebuild it with better wood. As a trio\, Griffin/Gregory brings in the talented cellist/vocalist Courtney Yeates\, also a well-known musician in the NoAZ scene. This combo offers rich opportunities for 3-part vocal harmonies in addition to Courtney’s cello\, Steph’s guitar and trumpet\, and PK’s guitar/bass\, harmonica\, and foot percussion. It’s a lot of power in a small package! \nWild Mountain Mystics are Appalachia meets Woodstock. Guitar\, mandolin\, and vocals. Since 2013 Wild Mountain Mystics have been a sought-after presence on the Cailfornia roots music scene. Their audience includes skilled instrumentalists\, hipsters\, and enthusiastic music lovers\, both young and old\, across the generational divide. Their audiences are collectively charmed by the joyful spirit and the remarkable diversity of their music. Their life experiences and talent give their music a passionate\, luminous spirit that is alive in every song. It will bring a smile to your face and a dance step to your feet. \nFriday\, September 26th\nLongtime Locals Showcase featuring Vusi Shibambo & Randy J\, Sister and the Sun\, and The Fey\n**Special 3-band\, 3.5 hour show** \nVusi Shibambo & Randy J are a unique duo that weaves together the pulsing rhythm of African drums with the reverb-drenched tones of surf guitar\, creating a sound that is both hypnotic and electrifying\, featuring African and English vocals and a feel that is both primal and cinematic. \nSister and the Sun is a powerhouse four-piece band that electrifies audiences with their unique fusion of rock\, blues\, and soul. Their sound is a captivating blend of raw emotion\, technical brilliance\, and irresistible grooves that span genres\, ensuring an unforgettable experience for every listener. With dynamic performances that combine heartfelt passion and undeniable energy\, this band is a true force\, getting crowds dancing and singing along at every show. \nThe Fey blends ethereal melodies with raw\, driving rock\, channeling the spirit of the best bands of the ’90s while carving out a sound that’s entirely their own. Their music is both nostalgic and fresh\, and creates an atmosphere that’s hypnotic one moment and electrifying the next. Whether they’re pulling you into a dreamlike haze or hitting hard with a wall of sound\, The Fey delivers a sonic experience that lingers long after the last note.
